The pandemic, the killing of George Floyd and the summer of protest and racial reckoning have combined to bring an end to the police-as-hero narrative sold to the public for the past 20 years — largely through sports.
Starting at the beginning of the College Football Season in late August of this year, a new show will begin here on 97.7 WREF called Hammer and Emmett. This show features Cleveland personalities Aaron Goldhammer and Emmett Golden and will be from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. every Saturday.
