EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana Athletics announced Thursday that it will air the 2021 Archie Awards virtually on the GLVC Sports Network (GLVCSN) this Sunday at 7 p.m. The Archie Awards, formerly known as the All-Sports Banquet, is a show that recognizes the academic and athletic accomplishments of USI student-athletes from the previous year.
The Archie Awards, which is presented by Old National Bank, is normally held in person in April, but due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, it was moved to a virtual setting. This year will mark the first time it has been aired on the GLVC Sports Network, which is the streaming platform of USI Athletics and the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Among the awards that will be presented are the Male and Female Screaming Eagle Pride Awards, the Male and Female Student-Athlete of the Year awards and the student-athlete voted Archie Awards.
The Archie Awards will be aired free of charge on GLVCSN, which is available on both your desktop, mobile/table devices, as well as four over-the-top (OTT) platforms, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Apple TV (4th Generation).
