Beginning Monday, September 11th, 2023 will be a new show here on 97.7 WREF called The Ref’s Call hosted by Brad Klein.
Brad is originally from Millburn, New Jersey. Went to Syracuse University and was in Syracuse’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. Brad spent last year as the voice of the Western Kentucky Lady Toppers basketball for Western Kentucky’s Learfield property. Brad was a 2022 Sports Talent Agency of America All-American. Brad has had other previous experience in sports broadcasting such as: a product of WAER-FM in Syracuse broadcasting Syracuse Orange football, Syracuse men’s basketball, and Syracuse men’s lacrosse; as well as one season as the number two broadcaster for the Birmingham Barons.
The Ref’s Call will be the second iteration of Dan Egierski’s All About Sports and will focus on talking about University of Southern Indiana (USI) sports, University of Evansville (UE) sports, and around the area high school sports from 5 P.M. to 6 P.M. central time every weekday Monday through Friday.
Brad Klein will also be the voice of the USI Screaming Eagles Men’s Basketball and will be hosting the Stan Gouard Show. Brad wanted to express his thanks with this, “I’d just like to thank Ed, Dan, and Gary, along with everyone else at Henson Media and Evansville for welcoming me.”
Tune into the first episode of The Ref’s Call on Monday, September 11th from 4 P.M. to 5 P.M. for the first week, and then 5 P.M. to 6 P.M. after the first week, with host Brad Klein on 97.7 FM WREF always the right call.
