IOWA CITY, IOWA –––– Indiana followed suit from their first two games of the weekend by putting together another impressive performance in a 7-3 win at Iowa to earn the sweep.
With the sweep at Iowa, that’s the third consecutive weekend that Indiana has swept its weekend opponent. Previously, the Hoosiers won all three games at Michigan State (April 5-7) and against Minnesota (April 12-14).
Indiana’s season record now stands at 34-13 and 10-7 in the Big Ten.

KEY MOMENTS
• Indiana opened the scoring with two bases loaded walks from freshman Aly VanBrandt and redshirt senior Cora Bassett to give the team a 2-0 lead in the top of the first.
• Iowa’s Bennett tied the game on an RBI single up the middle that scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning.
• Indiana got the lead back with sophomore Avery Parker and VanBrandt each hitting RBI singles to bring Indiana back in front in the top of the second, 4-2.
• Senior Brooke Benson made a double play when catching a lineout and throwing the runner at first out in the bottom of the second.
• Parker would hit another RBI single in the top of the fourth, bringing in junior Taylor Minnick to score to make it a 5-2 game.
• Sophomore Sophie Kleiman threw two of her four strikeouts in the bottom of the fourth inning.
• For the final out of the fourth inning and with the bases loaded, senior Aaliyah Andrews made a spectacular diving catch to prevent any Iowa runs.
• Junior Brianna Copeland hit a home run to dead center to put the exclamation point on the game and bring Indiana to a 7-2 advantage in the top of the fifth inning.
