On the road matchup at Ohio State…
AF: Definitely a lot of playmakers, very explosive, dynamic offense. I’d say the biggest thing for us is keeping those dynamic, explosive playmakers in front of us and making sure we’re doing all the right things on our end. Just taking care of things here before we head into Saturday.
On Curt Cignetti‘s contract extension…
AF: Ecstatic for him. Nobody deserves it more. The amount of work he puts in, he deserves every single penny of that.
On IU’s aggressive defense…
AF: I love it. A lot of defenses, you’ll look at them, and they’re trying to survive the game and let their offense win it. Here, it’s different. If we need to win a game, our defense will win the game. That’s something I really enjoy. I love the aggressive aspect of it, and I think it fits me and a lot of the players on this defense. They want to get after the quarterback, and they want to get to the ball carrier with bad intentions.
On the practice intensity ahead of Ohio State…
AF: There’s a lot of details going into this game plan, as there are every week, but especially this week. We’re just making sure we’re locking in on those and ensuring everything is cleaned up.

On how having a bye week helped with preparation…
KR: Yeah, it was a favorable bye-week for sure, just this late in the season, getting ready for the next one no matter what that was. But, definitely got to detail Michigan and be able to have the corrections down last week and then really dive into preparation for this week. So, it was a good bye week, but we’re even more fired up to get ready (since) we haven’t played in a week.
On managing his thumb injury and the process behind recovery…
KR: Yeah, no I feel great. I feel really good. Just, I mean that was one of my things I was looking forward to most for the bye week was to be able to let my thumb heal up and not beat it up and not have to throw five, six days a week. So, really excited and happy with the progress made and I’m feeling pretty close to 100%.
On crowd noise at practice…
KR: I think it will probably be one of the more loud environments this year. We always do have crowd noise every single week because it’s going to be a crazy atmosphere no matter what. But, definitely just understanding that, you know, having some things to be aware for because it will be a loud environment, especially just at first and we will have to quiet them when we go.
On what they have seen on Ohio State’s film…
KR: Yeah, they’ve got some good players. They run a good scheme. They’re well coached. Got a good amount of talent, but, excited to get after them, and it’ll be a good game.
