EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Softball is getting set for its 2024 fall season, scheduling eight games across five dates.
The Screaming Eagles’ fall schedule is as follows (all times listed are Central):
- Sunday, September 15, home game against Lincoln Trail College at Noon
- Sunday, September 22, home doubleheader against Lakeland College starting at 11 a.m.
- Tuesday, September 24, home doubleheader against Wabash Valley College starting at 3 p.m.
- Friday, September 27, single game against Frontier Community College at Deaconess Sports Park at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, September 28, doubleheader against Indiana University Southeast at 11 a.m. and against Lincoln Trail College at 3 p.m. at Deaconess Sports Park
All contests are at USI Softball Field except for September 27-28 at Deaconess Sports Park across town in Evansville.
Southern Indiana’s games at Deaconess Sports Park are part of a round-robin event. Other participating schools include Frontier Community College, Brescia University (Ky.), Rend Lake College, Oakland City University, Indiana University Southeast, and Lincoln Trail College.
The upcoming 2025 championship season will be USI’s third season at the NCAA Division I level and in the Ohio Valley Conference. Southern Indiana won 25 games last spring and finished fourth in the OVC to earn a second consecutive OVC Tournament berth. The Screaming Eagles came within a game of making an appearance in the championship round.
