LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s basketball program inked an all-conference junior guard to its incoming class, head coach Kenny Brooks announced Tuesday as Asia Boone will join the program as a junior in 2025-26.
“Asia will be a great addition to our Wildcat family,” Brooks said. “She has the ability to stretch the floor with her three-point shooting and her basketball IQ is through the roof. As we continue to try and build a roster that can compete in the toughest conference in the country, Asia is a welcomed addition. BBN, you will love rooting for her!”

Asia Boone, a 5-8 junior guard from San Diego, California, played the last two seasons at Liberty. There, she played and started in 67 games, combining for 683 points, 125 3s, 208 rebounds, 117 assists and 69 steals.
She arrives in Lexington with a handful of awards and honors, including being crowned Conference USA Freshman of the Year, All-CUSA Second Team, CUSA All-Freshman Team and CUSA All-Tournament Team as a freshman in 2024, after being named CUSA Freshman of the Week nine times that season. She also was tabbed All-CUSA Second Team and All-CUSA Tournament Team as a sophomore in 2025.
Just last season, she averaged 10.2 points per game, 1.9 3s per game, 3.0 rebounds per game and 1.4 assists per game. She scored in double digits in 19 games, including six straight, while she knocked down numerous 3s in 24 games. In just year two at Liberty, she already eclipsed the Flames’ all-time, top-10 career list in 3s with 125 triples.
The 5-8 guard helped the Flames to a 26-7 record in 2024-25, including a 16-2 mark in CUSA and a 13-1 mark in home games. En route to guiding her team to a 2025 CUSA Tournament Championship, she used three games to average 11.3 points per game, 2.0 3s per game, 2.3 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game in just 24.6 minutes per game during that stretch.
Prior to her time in Lynchburg, Boone was a graduate of IMG Academy. She also played for Team Durant on the AAU circuit.
