Top shortstop prospect George Lombard Jr., 19, who hit .329 with 11 stolen bases in 24 games at the High-A level this season, was promoted to Double-A by the New York Yankees on Sunday, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan, bringing him closer to the majors.
